Kelly Hansen is an experienced attorney in all areas of family law, from complex litigation to collaborative solutions.  She received her undergraduate degree from Georgetown University in 1993, graduating summa cum laude from the School of Foreign Service.  After graduating, she worked for a U.S. Congressman, and in public affairs, public relations, and the media for 13 years.  She brought this diverse real-world experience to law school at Lewis & Clark in Portland, OR, graduating magna cum laude in 2006 .  Her legal career has been in Central Oregon, beginning with the Deschutes County District attorney, then as an associate at the firm Stahancyk Kent & Hook, and then founding the firm Hansen & Larson.   She has appeared extensively in court in Deschutes, Jefferson, Crook and Klamath Counties, conducted countless mediations, and met with hundreds of clients over the years.  

 

Throughout her legal career, Kelly has seen how destructive litigation can be to her clients and their children. Her desire for Divorce & Custody Services is to re-imagine family law so that each client is heard and receives the highest quality legal advice and service.  Recognizing that client’s have busy lives, she offers flexible hours and ways of meeting with her clients, and is able to keep costs reasonable for her clients through a solutions–oriented approach and small, nimble law practice.  Kelly prides herself on getting to know her clients and working with them to find solutions that best-serve each client.
